Salt & Spice Cellars
Our Salt & Spice Cellars are handcrafted wooden vessels designed for everyday use and lasting beauty. Traditionally used for salt, they are equally at home holding spices, herbs, trinkets, or other small treasures you like to keep close at hand.
Each cellar is made from a thoughtfully chosen mix of Indigenous and exotic woods, including maple, walnut, canary, and purpleheart. Select pieces feature vibrant blue epoxy, highlighting the natural character of the wood and making every cellar truly one of a kind.
All cellars include removable lids, with some designs offering a swivel lid with a peg and magnetic closure for ease of use and a satisfying tactile experience. No two are ever exactly alike — subtle variations in grain, tone, and detail ensure each piece is as unique as the space it lives in.
Timeless in design and made to be used daily, these cellars are both functional and enduring, blending natural materials with careful craftsmanship to create something meant to be enjoyed for years to come.
Note: All dimensions are a close approximation.
To keep your wood piece looking beautiful and performing well for years to come, we recommend regular care using our Mineral Oil & Beeswax Wood Cream—specially formulated to nourish, protect, and enhance the natural grain of the wood.
- Clean Gently: Wipe the surface with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid soaking in water or putting the piece in the dishwasher. Never use harsh cleaners or abrasive scrubbers.
- Dry Immediately: After cleaning, dry the piece completely with a clean towel. Do not leave it to air dry while wet, as prolonged moisture can damage the wood.
- Condition Regularly: Every few weeks—or whenever the wood appears dry—apply a small amount of our Mineral Oil & Beeswax Wood Cream and rub a thin, even layer onto the surface using a soft cloth. Allow it to soak in for a few hours or overnight. Buff off any excess with a clean, dry cloth.
- Protect Your Investment: Our Natural Wood Cream is a simple mixture of mineral oil and beeswax. That's it! It's available for purchase and is safe for use on all food-contact surfaces. It’s an easy way to preserve the beauty and durability of your handcrafted piece.
